Songs without Words in Ville de Lorraine
The « Brioches en Musique » concert series of Ville de Lorraine presents
pianist-composer Marie-Andrée Ostiguy in « Songs without Words », a commented solo recital to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of German composer Félix Mendelssohn in 2009.
Through the most beautiful pages of his Songs without Words and the spectacular Rondo Capriccioso, Marie-Andrée Ostiguy presents the man, a multi-talented artist, a generous creator that desserves to be known by a broader public.
To complete this romantic and virtuoso performance, she will also offer some of her own compositions, excerpted from her album Tandem and her most recent recording Rêverie, which garnered her a fourth nomination at the ADISQ Gala in 2008.
